Ingredients
For the Steak and Shrimp:
• 2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut)
• 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 2 tbsp olive oil
For the Creamy Mozzarella Sauce:
• 2 tbsp butter
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
• ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or dried basil)
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Steak:
o Take the steaks out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
o In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
2. Cook the Shrimp:
o In the same skillet, add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Creamy Mozzarella Sauce:
o In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
o Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and let it thicken for a few minutes.
o Stir in the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
4. Combine and Serve:
o Slice the rested steaks and arrange them on plates. Top with the cooked shrimp and pour the creamy mozzarella sauce over the top.
o Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
