Ingredients:
For the Beef Marinade:
1 lb flank steak or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
For the Stir-Fry:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup snap peas
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
¼ cup beef broth
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)
Instructions:
Marinate the Beef:
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and vegetable oil.
Add the thinly sliced beef and mix until well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Prepare the Stir-Fry:
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until it’s just browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and stir-fry the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger until the vegetables start to soften, about 3-4 minutes.
Add broccoli and snap peas, and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes, until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Combine and Flavor:
Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables.
Stir in soy sauce, black pepper, hoisin sauce, sugar, and beef broth.
Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the beef and vegetables.
Garnish & Serve:
Garnish with sliced green onions.
Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
