Honey Garlic Ribs
Ingredients:
4 pounds pork spareribs
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced (optional, for extra flavor)
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Prepare the Ribs: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the spareribs (optional but recommended for tenderness). Cut the ribs into smaller sections for easier handling.
Make the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger (if using), apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Coat the Ribs: Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Brush the honey garlic sauce generously over both sides of the ribs, reserving a little for later. Cover the baking sheet with another sheet of foil to seal in moisture.
Bake the Ribs: Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and starts to pull away from the bone.
Caramelize the Ribs: Remove the top foil and brush the ribs with the remaining sauce. Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and bake for another 10–15 minutes, or until the ribs are caramelized and sticky.
Serve: Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes, then serve warm. Pair with coleslaw, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
