Crispy Chicken Fried Steak Bites with Creamy Gravy๐๐
Ingredients:
1 pound cube steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine 2 cups of flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk.
Dredge the steak bites in the seasoned flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat again in the flour mixture.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Fry the steak bites in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in 2 tablespoons of flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Season
