Savory Steak Bites and Shrimp: A Surf & Turf Delight
Ingredients:
For the Steak Bites:
1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Shrimp:
½ lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves (minced)
½ tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Garlic Butter Sauce (optional but recommended):
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
Prepare the Steak Bites:
Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels.
In a bowl, toss the steak bites with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cook the Steak Bites:
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steak bites in a single layer (do not overcrowd the pan).
Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Add 1 tbsp butter to the pan and toss to coat the steak bites in the melted butter.
Remove the steak bites from the pan and set aside.
Cook the Shrimp:
In the same pan, add 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the shrimp, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce (Optional but delicious!):
In the same pan, melt 2 tbsp butter over low heat.
Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and fresh parsley.
Serve:
Plate the steak bites and shrimp together on a platter.
Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the top for an extra burst of flavor.
Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or garlic bread on the side.
