Crockpot Hot Dog Chili
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon tomato paste
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Salt to taste
Hot dogs and buns, for serving
Directions:
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the meat is fully cooked and the onions are soft.
Transfer the cooked beef mixture to a crockpot.
Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar to the crockpot. Stir to combine all ingredients.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the chili to thicken.
Season with salt to taste and adjust seasonings if necessary.
Serve hot over cooked hot dogs in buns, topped with additional onions or cheese if desired. Enjoy a classic game-day treat that’s been taken up a notch with homemade chili.
